Baptism (originally scheduled for Easter Sunday) – Postponed

Sunday, March 22nd

Until further notice, we will be live streaming only for our Sunday morning services. Both our Rocky Mount and Wilson campuses will join the live stream at 11am each Sunday.

Tuesday, March 17th (6:30pm)

The cancelling of our in-person worship services during this time has made our small group ministry even more important to the health of our church family. We call our small groups, “Community Groups,” because we believe that doing life together in community is essential to our spiritual growth.

With this in mind, we are in the process of setting up an online option for CGs. Our CG shepherds will be receiving training later this week on how to utilize this online meeting tool, so that our groups might meet in a virtual environment. We are offering this virtual option, so that our groups have an additional resource for those who are unable to attend in-person.

By offering this additional option to our groups, we hope to see everyone stay actively connected and growing together. After all, we have always been a church of small groups. Our church started as a small group meeting in my living room and small groups continue to be the heartbeat of our church.

Saturday, March 14th (8:20pm)

Our Dub Youth and Eastgate Youth groups (for 6th-12th graders) will also be meeting online at tomorrow at 4pm. They will not be holding their regularly scheduled meetings in-person.

Saturday, March 14th (5:10pm)

In accordance with the executive order from the Governor of North Carolina, we will not hold in person services tomorrow at either our Wilson or Rocky Mount campuses.

We will be live streaming at 11:00 AM. Head over to to live stream the entire service, including the music, tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM. Using this platform, you will be able to engage with other people attending the service over the live stream as well as church staff who will be there answer questions or take prayer requests.

Our community groups will continue to meet throughout the week to unpack this week’s message, share a meal and pray with each other. Find a community group if you are not already in one.

Finally, join us as we continue to pray for all those affected by COVID-19, for our medical professionals as they care for our sick, our government leaders as they make decisions, and for God’s protection for our church family at both campuses.

Friday, March 13th

As of this morning, we are still planning to have our regularly scheduled worship services at 9:15 and 11:00 AM at our Wilson campus and at 10:30 AM at our Rocky Mount campus. Of course, we will monitor this quickly changing situation and respond accordingly. We will offer updates on our website with links to other social media with any changes.

We are asking our volunteers and attenders to avoid unnecessary contact at our services. Let’s greet one another with a warm smile and a hearty “hello,” without the usual handshake or hug. Extra hand sanitizer will be available and we are taking extra care in cleaning the often touched surfaces in our building.

We encourage you to observe the CDC instructions for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Here is their link: “Preventing COVID-19 Spread in Communities”:

If you’ve recently been sick or currently show any symptoms, we advise you to stay home. If you have a weak immune system, or are easily susceptible to sickness, we advise you to stay home as well.

We are currently working on live-streaming one of our services this Sunday, so you can still worship with us from home. We will update you on this as we work out the details.

In the meantime, let’s pray for all those affected by COVID-19, for our medical professionals as they care for our sick, our government leaders as they make decisions, and for God’s protection for our church family at both campuses.

I am personally looking forward to our services this weekend as we continue our journey through 1 Samuel. We’ve worked hard to prepare for you.

As I close, allow me to offer this Scripture:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”.

2 Timothy 1:7

Let us not walk in fear, but in the power and love of our Lord. And let us make wise and “sound” decisions with the “mind of Christ” (1 Cor. 2:16) as we navigate these coming days.
