Be Thankful

This past week we celebrated a national holiday called “Thanksgiving.” It is intended for us to celebrate all that we’ve been given and be thankful for our families and for God’s provision. Yet, we often have a hard time with this mark of being Christian. We struggle with ingratitude. We complain. Instead of being thankful, we’re often filled with a heart of ingratitude. In the apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Colossae, he told them that the result of having Jesus as their Lord and Savior was a heart of  thanksgiving.

The Outward Movement

Justin Norden concluded our sermon series on the Lord’s Prayer with the Outward Movement, the part of the Lord’s Prayer where we ask God to protect us and use us as he leads us. “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

The Mark of Faithfulness

One of our teaching team members, Justin Norden, continued our sermon series on the Nine Marks of True Christian Character, on the fruit of Faithfulness. Christ offers us the ultimate example of faithfulness, and only by accepting his salvation can we truly be faithful in all of our relationships.

Foundations

Has anyone ever made you feel intellectually inferior for being a Christian? In this sermon, Justin Norden helps us understand how to build our life’s foundation on Christ alone, and how that allows us to be intellectually stimulated and have a consistent world-view.

Are You Growing in Generosity, Serving and Giving?

Justin Norden continues our series, “Diagnosing Your Spiritual Health”, by helping us diagnose whether we are growing in generosity. Christian generosity is about more than money. We must trust God to supply our needs, be good stewards of God’s resources and then respond to Christ’s sacrifice for us by being generous on all occasions and growing in him.

True Worship in the Life of Paul

Justin Norden concludes our True Worshipers series with examining worship in the life of Paul. Romans 12:1 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

True Worship in the Life of Moses

Justin Norden kicks off our TRUE WORSHIPERS sermon series by looking at worship in the life of Moses. John 4:23 says “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks”. Throughout this sermon series, we’re going to look at worship in the life of various characters in the Bible to learn how we can worship God in spirit and truth.

Honoring Others

Justin Norden continues our HONOR sermon series by talking about how to HONOR other believers and those around you.
